"Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”

-Maya Angelou

Has your life been interrupted by a particular circumstance?

Have you been dealing with a situation that feels like you need to seek the help of a professional?

Do problems feel like they have become too overwhelming to deal with all by yourself?

Perhaps therapy is just what you need.

The past several months has taught us a few things. As a society we have learned what is most important; we have learned how truly valuable health is. Because of the events we have lived through as of late, we are placing just as much importance on mental health as we are to our

overall health. It is my belief that mind, body and soul need to be cared for.

I am a licensed therapist who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of people I work with. I love to help and I strongly believe that there are many different ways to arrive at solutions. Everyone is different; each person comes from different places with unique needs and my goal as a clinician is to find the right fit for my clients. It is my personal belief that if we are teachable and open, anyone can learn how to create meaningful change.

As a systems thinker, I recognize that many things contribute to our circumstances. And we are not individuals who live in a bubble. We are connected to others. My therapeutic approach is strength based. I believe clients bring solutions woven into their problems, we just discover them together in therapy. I aim to approach problems with a respectful curiosity; I want to enter into my clients’ experience and offer possibilities for change. My expertise combined with my clients’ expertise makes us ideal collaborators at finding solutions. Experiential moments have long been my modus operandi in therapy, and through the use of metaphor and language I strongly believe we can achieve those life changing shifts in talk therapy as well. As a certified Equine Assisted therapist (you read that right: therapy with horses) and certified hypnotherapist, I value the tangible experiences that therapy can provide whether that be in a barn, through hypnosis or with talk therapy. I work with couples, teens, individuals, and families. I use Gottman Method Couple’s therapy in my work.  My faith has allowed me to provide Christian counseling as needed, when clients request a faith based approach. I look forward to discovering change with you.

Some people call me doctor, because of my PhD, but most people call me Cindy. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity International University, where I minored in Christian ministry. I earned my Master’s and PhD degrees in Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University.I believe that balance is key: hard work and fun go hand in hand. I am a die-hard Disney fan: you can find me at the parks on any given weekend. If I stay in South Florida then I can be found spending time with family or friends. Quality time is my primary love language, and my most valued currency. That is why I am so intentional about how I spend it. As a therapist every moment will be used with efficiency and respect: you have my word on that.

Work with me by calling today for a free 15-minute phone consultation at 954-903-1676 to discover if we would be a good fit to work together.
